Summer was over
On a busy Sunday afternoon, Patty had somehow managed to succeed in getting me to start and actually complete launching a beta of his website. A new business. His two baby boys were growing up too fast, I could imagine the next time I would see them, they would be speaking coherently.
My weekend was uneventful. I did some business, visited Nerissa and Jane on Saturday evening. Some roast chicken and ice cream for them. Then back home and more work. I had completely lost interest in nightlife, the social superficialities.
I would actually prefer to pass out drunk on my own alone at home. Strange, or even unhealthy.
I would label it "safe."
Lucy had arrived and gone, this time with Ashanti. The girls stayed with her at her hotel like usual, and Lucy just messaged me later that Nerissa had become a very good swimmer. She knew freestyle.
The rain had started. It drizzled in the mornings, and I watched through the train window. In the evening, on my way home, the same thing would sometimes repeat.
